If you have been looking for a good Skype phone for use on the go, this seems to be the one to get. In fact, the reviewer seems to think that this Pocket PC 2003 phone could possibly be a laptop replacement. A bold statement, but reading the review does make us wonder.
This device is extremely useful and can do a great deal. With the keyboard slid home it looks like many other PocketPC’s or PocketPC Phones, but the inclusion of the keyboard - which after a very short while is easy to master - means that this gets a definite thumbs up from me.

Cell phones with cameras are great. You can take a quick snapshot where ever you are and of almost anything you desire. One thing that really isn’t possible with cell phone cameras – taking a good image of yourself. Sure you could have someone take the picture for you, but what about those times when there isn’t anyone around to take the picture for you? That’s where Cellpod comes to save the day. Cellpod is a pocket sized tripod for your cell phone which can be attached via the belt clip button or with an included attachment. This cell phone accessory will set you back $24.99 and available in black or “Edge glow” blue.

Motorola rolled out a new musicphone at Miami Music Multimedia (M3) last night and MobileTracker has got a first look. It’s a CDMA handset that will support EV-DO, and it comes with 41MB onboard memory. The E725 also has a MiniSD slot, allowing to you expand your memory up to 1 GB. The slider phone also features scroll wheel control, stereo speakers and a built-in FM transmitter for sending tunes to home or car stereos. Unlike the Sony Ericsson W800i, the E725 comes with a standard 3.5mm mini jack so you can use it with your own headphones. Not the first iTunes phone, but it is certainly looking like a pretty solid entry into the musicphone market.

Not only can text messaging be painful for your pocketbook, but an Australian doctor is saying that it can hurt your physically as well. It seems that those who use text messaging extensively are prone to those repeat motion injuries that flare up your tendons. One 13 year old girl had the first case of texting tendonitis, as the doctor called it, as a reult to too much one-thumbed messaging. As a result, a tendon in her right forearm swelled by two centimeters.

Nokia N-Gage Drops Price, Third Design Imminent
Posted by Hector Martinez Categories: Smartphones, Video Games,
Nokia’s little “Cellphone That Could” has had its share of trouble. Not sure if a price drop to $99 is a sign of recovery or just a move to clear some stagnant warehouses. Prices on software titles have also been slashed, while a third design is said to be revealed at this year’s E3. So far, there are only 2.5 million owners of the device, and that’s including both of the previous iterations. In comparison, Sony’s PSP is expected to sell 1 million in its first week alone.

I loved the 8860 back when it was released. The slider phone was thin, sexy and attracted a lot of attention. However, the reception was really bad. At least I looked good trying to make a call, right? Looks like Nokia could be releasing another one of those sexy phones with the appearance of some pictures on a Chinese forum site. The phone appears to be a successor of the Nokia 8910 and does not appear to include a camera. Hopefully, a press release will be made in the not so distant future by Nokia to announce the launch and details of this phone.

Blackberry to Ship With Built-In Instant Messaging

Instant messaging services aren’t necessarily new to the Blackberry. in fact, there are already a few third party solutions available. The news here is that it’s going to be bundled in now. Research In Motion just signed up a deal to offer instant messaging services from both Yahoo and AOL right out of the box on future Blackberry models. Current owners will also be able to download this feature for use on their existing handsets. Great news for those who want to stay in constant touch without the hassle of being near a PC at all times.

Check out these two SLVR phone versions from Motorola. The Motorola SLVRcam V280 and SLVRlite V270 are both stylish and, from the looks of the specs, functional too. Here is the breakdown: The SLVRcam V280 has some very nice photo and video options. It has a VGA camera with 4x zoom, with built-in auto-timer and multimedia photo album creator. In addition, it can capture and playback MPEG-4, .3gpp, and H.263 video. It also has integrated Bluetooth, MP3 ringtone support, SCREEN3, and all the other standards. The SLVRlite V270 also has Bluetooth support, the ability to play video clips, GPRS, MP3 ringtone support, and a few other basic features. Both these phones should be available in the second half of 2005.

Nokia Promises Another Revamped N-Gage
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Smartphones, Video Games,
From the “Can You Please Just Let It Die?” department, Nokia plans to continue throwing millions away by backing the N-Gage cell phone/video game console hybrid. The latest from them is that they plan to bring an updated version of the N-Gage QD to the market, hoping that will breathe new life (or really, initial life?) into the device.
“We’re looking at new colors, a new look and feel for the QD in the next few months,” said Gerard Wiener, director and general manager of the games business program at Nokia.
Hey Nokia, I know technology moves really fast and all, and I know how forgettable it was. However, you did have an N-Gage before the QD, and no one bought it. Then you said you would bring a redesigned version to market, in the hopes that it would spark sales. It really didn’t happen for ya. Now you can stop wondering why you guys have that sense of deja vu. You’re welcome.
